✵ Recently Restored ✵ Game Room & Pool Table
✵ Outdoor Fire Pit ✵ Two Casitas for privacy
✵ Kid/Family Friendly ✵ Outdoor Kitchen
This stunning 150+ year-old hacienda is the oldest structure in the neighborhood and has been lovingly cared for by descendants of the original residents. Recently restored with great care to honor its original Native American and Hispanic architecture, Casa Celia beautifully blends the character of old Taos with the comforts of today. With a spacious main house, two private casitas, and a central placita at its heart, there is room for everyone to gather, play, relax, and find a little space of their own.
You’ll find parking for four vehicles on the gravel driveway along the fence. The front door has a WiFi-enabled smart lock for easy, stress-free check-in. And just in case, a backup key is always available in a secure lockbox.
Kitchen & Dining:
Enter into the inviting kitchen and dining space and breathe deep—you’re here! The four-person dining table is a cherished family heirloom and makes for an intimate setting for meals together. Three additional seats at the kitchen counter provide plenty of room for gathering.
The well-outfitted chef’s kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or a simple breakfast before heading out to explore Taos.
Living Room:
Just beyond the kitchen and dining room is the large living room, comfortably seating up to six around the decorative shelving and smart TV.
We welcome you to light a small fire in the traditional kiva fireplace (directions are provided in the guidebook) and settle in for a cozy evening.
Large glass doors open on one side to a private patio with a small dining set and lounge chairs. On the other, they open to the central placita, connecting the living spaces to the heart of the hacienda.
Primary Bedroom:
The primary bedroom is a sanctuary in itself. A luxurious king-sized bed, nightstands, reading lights, and a smart TV make this a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring.
The ensuite bath features a separate water closet, large double vanity with a custom poured-concrete countertop, luxurious copper soaking tub, and an incredible walk-in shower. Double shower heads and multiple jets are just what you need after a long day exploring Taos.
Second Bedroom:
Beautifully decorated for the owner’s son, this playful room has a queen-sized bed, an adorable child-sized traditional equipal table set, and a smart TV. Around the corner is a bonus room with a daybed that pulls out into a full-sized sleeper.
A Pack ’n Play is tucked into the cabinet for our littlest guests.
Please be respectful of the toys available—they are cherished by their owner.
The ensuite bath has a combination tub/shower and single-sink vanity. Public Goods bath products and a selection of towels are provided.
Hallway:
Located off the hallway next to the entry door, the powder room is spacious and stocked with Public Goods soap and lotion. Across the hall is the laundry room with washer and dryer, available for guest use.
Behind the (shh… secret!) green Murphy door, you’ll find cleaning supplies if needed.
Central Placita:
The central courtyard, or placita, is the heart of this historic home. Covered corredores connect each of the spaces and surround the gas fire pit and comfortable outdoor seating.
Gather around the fire in the evening, enjoy a morning coffee in the quiet, or cook your favorite meals in the outdoor kitchen, complete with a mini-fridge and gas grill.
Casita 1 & 2:
Cozy up in one of the two private studio casitas, each complete with a queen-sized bed and traditional kiva fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee in peace with the Keurig coffee maker in each kitchenette.
Each casita also includes a mini-fridge and microwave, making these spaces perfect for couples or family members who appreciate a little extra privacy.
The ensuite bathrooms feature walk-in showers and large single-sink vanities.
The Game Room:
At the end of the placita is a large game room, ready and waiting for a little friendly competition. The full-sized pool table has been in the family for years and provides endless hours of fun. You’ll also find puzzles, board games, darts, cornhole, and yoga mats.
In the summer, camping chairs and inflatable tubes are available for enjoying the nearby rivers.
There is also a dedicated desk for remote work in this space.
