The Space:

Comfortably sleeping 6, with accommodations for up to 8, this beautiful Southwestern retreat is perched atop a Valdez mountain and surrounded by stunning views of the valley, mountains, and beyond. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated, Casa Angel is an inviting place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy time together.
Whether you’re gathering with family or escaping with friends, every space has been thoughtfully created to feel both comfortable and special. This home reflects a deep love for Taos and the care that goes into creating a beautiful place to stay.

Arrival:

A welcoming turquoise door greets you from the gravel parking area. You’ll find comfortable parking for up to three (3) vehicles. With a Wi-Fi-enabled smart lock, check-in is simple and stress-free. (Rest assured, we also have a backup key in a lockbox should any issues arise.)

Entry:

Just inside, a coat closet provides plenty of space for shoes, coats, and outdoor gear, with plenty of hangers for your use. Please watch your step, as there are a few level changes in this area.

Game Room:

Just to your left upon entering, you’ll find the bright and welcoming game room, the perfect spot to relax, hang out, and spend time together. Enjoy the smart TV, comfy sofa, and foosball table. The sofa also converts into a sleeping space for guests.

Kitchen:

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, whether you’re brewing coffee in the morning or cooking dinner after a day of exploring. The custom kitchen island seats four and makes a great gathering spot for morning coffee, meals, or conversation.
Basic oils and spices are provided, along with dishes for kids.

Dining Room:

The dining room features a beautiful oversized table that comfortably seats eight (8) guests. Large windows frame the surrounding views, making every meal feel a little more special.

Living Room:

The open floor plan connects the dining and living rooms, keeping everyone together while you cook, eat, relax, and unwind. Comfortable leather sofas and cozy club chairs provide seating for seven (7). Enjoy the smart TV, or gather around the coffee table because the console table is stocked with a selection of fun games.
A wood-burning fireplace warms the space and adds a cozy ambiance on chilly evenings. Kick back, settle in, and make yourself at home.

Bathroom:

The first room on the left down the hallway is a beautifully remodeled bathroom with a tub/shower combination and single-sink vanity. We provide complimentary, eco-friendly Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.

First Bedroom:

The first bedroom on the right offers a beautiful queen-size bed, nightstands with reading lights, a dresser, and a comfortable chair. A small closet provides space for your belongings, while a beautiful tin-punched mirror adds a special Southwestern touch.

Second Bedroom:

The second guest room features a twin-size daybed that converts into a queen-size pullout, making this a flexible space for guests. There is also a dresser and a small closet for your belongings.

Laundry Room:

Across the hallway, you’ll find a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer available for guest use.

Primary Bedroom with Ensuite Bathroom:

At the end of the hallway awaits the peaceful primary suite. The room features a comfortable king-size bed and double doors that open directly to the garden and private sitting area. Thoughtful touches throughout the room, including a full-length mirror, a basket of yoga mats, and beautiful handmade décor, make this a welcoming place to unwind. The ensuite bathroom features a fully tiled walk-in shower and a spacious double-sink vanity. We provide complimentary, eco-friendly Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.

Backyard:

The absolute crème de la crème of Casa Angel is the beautiful outdoor space.
Step outside onto the charming deck and take in sweeping views that stretch for miles. Gather around the gas firepit as the sun sets over the mountains, enjoy a quiet morning with coffee, or spend an afternoon wandering through the beautifully maintained garden.
With its peaceful setting, expansive views, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces, the backyard is an oasis all its own—and the perfect place to slow down, soak it all in, and create lasting vacation memories.

Attention to Detail:

✓ Cleanliness is a top priority for us and we pride ourselves on welcoming you into a sparkling clean home! Our cleaning fee is passed through, meaning that the entire sum is paid to our meticulous cleaning team.
✓ We provide premium linens for each guest.
✓ We provide complimentary bath essentials, including Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion.
✓ We provide basic paper goods and consumables – paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sponges, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
✓ A washing machine and dryer along with an ironing board and iron are available for your use during your stay.
✓ Natural materials including flagstone, rock and gravel are inherently uneven and can shift over time. Landscaped areas are not perfectly level and may pose a tripping hazard. Please watch your step.

Other Things to Note:

The property is surrounded by natural sagebrush that many critters call home, including rodents, snakes, and coyotes.

Like many homes in northern New Mexico, we do not have air conditioning. For those rare hot days, each bedroom has oscillating fans located in either the closet or cabinet for guests’ use. Please keep shades drawn during the day and windows open at night to help regulate the indoor temperature.

Please note that our cleaning fee is “pass through”, meaning the entire sum is “passed on” to our amazing cleaning crew to support high quality work and a living wage.

As guests, you will…
– Adhere to community quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.
– Help keep the home clean by removing all shoes before coming inside.
– No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
– Wash and put away your dishes and glassware after use.
– Remove all food from the fridge, freezer and cupboard when checking out.
– Do not touch the art and return furniture to its original position if moved.
– Ensure all fires are extinguished.
– Remember that no parties or events are allowed.
