HOUSE 1:
Arriving at the property, you will find covered parking for two vehicles under the carport. Additional vehicles can park on the gravel driveway. The front door is equipped with a WiFi-enabled smart lock to ensure a stress-free check in (rest assured, we’ve got a key in a convenient lockbox should an issue arise with the lock).
Under the covered front portal, there is an antique wood bench. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or simply bask in the glory of a perfect waiting spot. Complimentary firewood for the indoor kiva fireplace and outdoor cone fireplace is stacked near the front door.
House 1 Living Room:
As you step into the home, you will enter a bright and spacious living room with tall viga ceilings and mountain views. A genuine leather Article sofa, a pair of leather West Elm chairs, and a comfortable pouf offer seating for 6. The walls are decorated with original art and proofs from our favorite local southwest artists, including Micqaela Jones, Deborah Duran Geiger and more!
To your right, there is a wood burning kiva fireplace. While the home has radiant floor heating, you’re encouraged to make a small fire to up the cozy factor on those cool desert nights. To the left, there is a 65-inch Roku HD TV. Please BYOL (bring your own logins) to enjoy all of your own streaming services.
House 1 Primary Bedroom:
The primary bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, a Zinus green tea memory foam mattress and premium linens (an amazing sleep is in your future!). Featuring “Telling Stories” and custom Portola lime wash “El Coyote” paint, the primary bedroom is a relaxing and stylish getaway. Contemporary bedside tables and a matching dresser, reading lights and a full-length mirror ensure the bedroom is fully appointed. One pack n’ play is available for families with kids, including a mattress and sheets.
Within the primary bedroom, there is a dedicated laptop-friendly workspace outfitted with a plush leather chair, a modern writing desk, and excellent WiFi.
The ensuite bathroom includes a walk-in closet, double vanity with marble counter, luxury waterfall shower with herringbone tile surround, and a separate jacuzzi tub for ultimate relaxation. We provide complimentary bath essentials, including eco-friendly health-conscious Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion, as well as amazing extra-large Vidori towels from Standard Linen.
House 1 Second and Third Bedrooms:
The second and third bedrooms both have a queen-sized bed with Zinus green tea memory foam mattresses, bedside tables with reading lights, and a small closet. Each room is decorated with a collection of local photographs taken by our talented sister-in-law, custom Portola lime wash paint (“Speakeasy” in the front and “Merida” in the back) and southwest tile mirrors.
House 1 Second Bathroom:
Located between the second and third bedrooms, the second bathroom has a single vanity with marble counter and a luxury waterfall shower-bath with beautiful tile surround. Like the primary bathroom, the second bathroom is stocked with complimentary bath essentials from Public Goods and extra-large Vidori towels from Standard Linen.
House 1 Kitchen:
The open living space extends to a fully equipped kitchen featuring brand new LG appliances, including a gas range with a cast iron griddle and an oven with “air fry mode”. Fellow cooks will find a thoughtful selection of cookware and Crate & Barrel dinnerware. If you’re not enjoying one of Taos’ delicious restaurants, you’ll have a great set up for a home cooked meal.
The kitchen also boasts custom granite countertops with bar seating illuminated by stylish ombre pendant lights. For those indulging, we provide glasses and bar accessories. It’s a perfect spot to spend time together and reminisce. Cheers!
House 1 Dining Room:
The dining room has a family-style table that accommodates 6 with beautiful views out the front and back windows. Both a highchair and booster seat are available for the little ones.
Behind the double doors in the dining room, there is a laundry room with a new LG washing machine and dryer (large capacity and amazingly quiet!). Complimentary laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided. Essential cleaning products are available for guest use as needed (no cleaning expectations, we just know that every family has a brother-in-law that makes a mess!). A selection of our favorite board games is available for your enjoyment.
House 1 Backyard:
The backdoor opens onto a small rear portal. Down one step and to the right you’ll walk down a small decline to the property’s large flagstone patio and modern pergola.
Eat al fresco by the light of overhead string lights and take in the spectacular mountain vistas (sunrise and dusk are something special). Sitting next to or sitting in the Sage Swing amongst the sagebrush, you’ll hear the crickets, smell the sagebrush, and feel the breeze as you unwind!
Just beyond the patio are the owner-restored midcentury Majestic cone fireplace and the brand-new luxury Nordic hot tub. Reconnect with family and friends as you cook up smores or drink a glass (or two!) of wine and end a perfect day by relaxing in the hot tub under a blanket of stars.

House 2:
Arriving at the property, you will find a large gravel driveway with parking for up to four vehicles. While you will also see a garage door, we ask that guests not park inside the game room.
To the right, meander through a southwest archway and along a flagstone pathway to the entry portal and front door. The front door is equipped with a WiFi-enabled smart lock to ensure a stress-free check in (rest assured, we’ve got a key in a convenient lockbox should an issue arise with the lock).
Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by an airy living space with viga ceilings that stretch toward the sky and windows framing those iconic mountain views.
House 2 Kitchen:
To your left, the kitchen feels both organic and sophisticated, with custom granite countertops, earthy Cotto tiles, and warm wicker pendant lights casting a cozy glow over the bar. Brand new GE appliances make cooking a joy, whether you’re whipping up something simple or crafting a feast.
Cook with love using our All-Clad cookware and Crate & Barrel dinnerware, or gather with friends around the bar for cocktails and deep conversation. We’ve stocked the space with barware to help you channel your inner mixologist. Salud!
House 2 Dining Area:
To the right, the dining room has a family-style table that accommodates 12 (2 large benches, 4 chairs, table extensions in master bedroom closet) with beautiful views out the front and back windows. Need a spot for your little boss? A highchair and two booster seats are available.
Behind the double doors in the dining room there is a laundry room with a new GE washing machine and dryer (large capacity and amazingly quiet!). Complimentary laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided. Essential cleaning products are available for guest use as needed (no cleaning expectations, we just know that every family has an uncle that makes a mess).
House 2 Living Room:
Beyond the kitchen and dining area, there is a large living area with 2 genuine leather sofas offer seating for up to 12 people. Inside the media console, a selection of our favorite board games is available for your enjoyment. The space is all about good vibes!

House 2 Primary Bedroom:
The primary bedroom is furnished with a king-sized Silk&Snow bed frame, a Helix mattress and premium linens (an amazing sleep is in your future!). Matching bedside tables, a dresser, reading lights and a full-length mirror ensure the bedroom is fully appointed. Tucked in the corner is a plush egg chair, a go-to spot for cozy mornings and getting lost in the pages of a thrilling novel.
Within the primary suite, there is a small office with a plush leather chair and a writing desk. There is a bookcase with local finds and a hand painted mural of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (a beautiful tribute from our artist mama!). This is also a great spot for little ones needing a nap as it is dark and quiet.
In the master bathroom two hallway closets, there is one pack n’ play available for families with kids, including one mattress, two sheets, and one baby monitor.
The ensuite bathroom includes a double vanity with marble counter and a luxury walk in waterfall shower with custom toltec and zellige tile surround. We provide complimentary bath essentials, including eco-friendly health-conscious Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion, as well as amazing extra-large Vidori towels from Standard Linen.
House 2 Second Bedroom:
The second bedroom includes a king-sized platform bed with a Helix mattress, bedside tables with reading lights, and a closet. It is decorated with a collection of wood block prints created by a Santa Fe artist and inspired by New Mexico petroglyphs.
House 2 Third Bedroom:
The third bedroom includes a queen-sized bed with a Helix mattress, bedside tables with reading lights, and a closet.

Get ready to rack ’em up on the full-size pool table, or kick back on the leather couch and cozy butterfly cowhide chairs while you catch the big game on the 65-inch Roku TV. Feeling competitive? Grab the corn hole set and challenge your friends, or unwind with some yoga on the mats provided. Large Jenga also available. The garage is insulated to keep things comfy, so please keep the door closed to maintain the perfect chill zone!
House 2 Backyard:

Attention to Detail:
✓ Cleanliness is a top priority for us and we pride ourselves on welcoming you into a sparkling clean home! Our cleaning fee is pass through, meaning that the entire sum is paid to our meticulous cleaning team.
✓ Hot tubs can get quite unsanitary. But not ours! Our hot tub is professionally cleaned and sanitized. Please check the guidebook on how to use the hot tub and what you can do to help us keep it clean.
✓ We provide premium linens for each guest.
✓ We provide complimentary bath essentials, including Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion.
✓ We provide basic paper goods and consumables – paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sponges, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
✓ A new GE washing machine and dryer along with an ironing board and iron are available for your use during your stay.
✓ By using the hot tub, you acknowledge that using the hot tub involves inherent risks, including risk of injury or illness, and you agree to use the hot tub at your own risk. You will follow all instructions provided in the guidebook and hold harmless the property owner from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the hot tub. While maintained by a professional weekly service, guests are asked to dispense one tablespoon of shock per person per use to help maintain water clarity and cleanliness.
✓ Natural materials including flagstone, rock and gravel are inherently uneven and can shift over time. Landscaped areas are not perfectly level and may pose a tripping hazard. Please watch your step.

Guests will have access to the entirety of both home except for two locked owners closets in Home 1 and one locked owners closet in Home 2.
Guests will enter through the front doors using a unique personalized code entered into the smart lock.
For questions or concerns, please message us through the airbnb messaging platform. If there is an urgent or emergent matter, guests will be provided with a cell phone number and are free to text or call.
Our two properties are located within a boutique community of 10 homes. El Prado is a prized location, and one new home addition to the community is starting construction. Guests may see and hear construction during daytime hours. Based on our experience, the builder and his team are extremely professional.
While we employ a preventative pest control service, the property is surrounded by natural sagebrush that many critters call home, including rodents, snakes, and coyotes.
Like many homes in northern New Mexico, we enjoy radiant heat but do not have air conditioning. For those rare hot days, each bedroom and the living room are furnished with high quality Minka Aire ceiling fans to keep guests cool.
Please note that our cleaning fee is “pass through”, meaning the entire sum is “passed on” to our amazing cleaning crew to support high quality work and a living wage.
