Step out onto the private back porch to relax, sip your morning coffee, or stargaze at night. The cabin is three miles down a bumpy dirt road, so 4WD is recommended in winter for easy access.

Getting Here:
Nestled three miles down a bumpy dirt road, this escape is truly off the beaten path. 4WD is recommended in winter for easy access.
Just a heads-up — about a quarter mile down the road, there’s a neighbor with a, let’s say, creative approach to landscaping. Some say it’s a junkyard, others say it’s rural modern art. Either way, it’s part of the authentic charm of Taos — and don’t worry, you won’t hear a thing except the wind rustling through the sagebrush from your porch.
Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or a solo retreat, The Steel Pueblo promises a unique and unforgettable stay. Please note that there are three container homes on the property. Two are complete and available to rent. The thirds interior remains under construction by the owner.
We sincerely hope you have a great stay.
Guests will have access to the entirety of the container home except for one locked owners cabinet.
Guests will enter through the front doors using a unique personalized code entered into the smart lock.
For questions or concerns, please message us through the airbnb messaging platform. If there is an urgent or emergent matter, guests will have a cell phone number and are free to text or call.

Just a heads-up — on your way to the house, about a quarter mile up the road on the right, there’s a neighbor with a, let’s say, creative approach to landscaping. Some say it’s a junkyard, others say it’s rural modern art. Either way, it’s a residential property and part of the authentic charm of Taos. When you see the antique roadshow, you know you are close. And don’t worry, you won’t hear a thing except the wind rustling through the sagebrush from your porch.
Guests will find free parking in front. 4WD is recommended in the winter months. Neighborhood plows roads in case of significant snow fall.
We have a $75 pet fee for your entire stay, and we donate a portion from each pet stay to Stray Hearts Taos Humane Society. Please let us know if you’re bringing a furry friend along!
